Blogmas 7-Joy to the world

December 19, 2016 Weekly B10G 0

It’s Christmas time! The time to celebrate Jesus’s birthday and his coming to our world to live the perfect life that we don’t have because we are not perfect. This time of year brings so much joy, as it mentions in songs, sayings and even actions. As heard some sons include; Joy to the world, Feliz Navidad, A Holly Jolly Christmas and Have yourself a Merry little Christmas. Some saying or phrases for example are; Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Do you see something very similar within all these phrases or songs? No, it is not that they are all Christmas involved, it is true, but I’m talking about how everyone of them has the word merry or happy or joyful. They all have celebration words that are joyful and make everyone think of a peaceful and celebrating time.

This time is not for the presents, but for Jesus, and celebrating in his birth and him coming into the world. fullsizerender-24

These songs give us the sign to be joyful and share that joy with others, because have you ever heard of a Christmas song called,”Have a terrible, bad Christmas, or someone say bye have a terrible, sad Christmas……no that is sad, but it says to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy holiday. During this time we need to rejoice in his light and him being born and for everything he has done. He lived a perfect life, was sent by God to die on the cross to forgive us from the sins we make in this world, he loved us while we were still sinners, and he was there when when needed it, is the bridge to God, Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice and he is love. so, during this season let us praise God and share the joy by the way we speak, actions we use, or the joy we spread to others.

We are called during this time to share the joy and spread of God’s word to others, but why stop now when you can do it all the time. CRAZY… right? why stop the spreading of joy when we can do it everyday! We can be a light shining onto others, maybe for you it is giving someone an encouraging and joyful message for there day, going to help out at a foster care or donate those in need, inviting someone to your Christmas service at church. Whatever it might be, let us share it with others and rejoice for Jesus and his unfailing, and forgiveness for us all!
